The Word of a King

September 13, 20242 min read

In our walk with the Lord, we might doubt the kind of Authority the Bible talks about when it comes to our own ability - although the Bible says that we have AUTHORITY because it was given to us by Jesus when He shed His blood and paid the price for our disobedience and mismanagement of the planet.

There is scripture to encourage us and remind us - outside of the resurrection message and these two instances should empower us to walk in the light of His Kingdom, knowing we do have full authority to take dominion over any situation.

Ecclesiastes 8:4, states, "Where the word of a King is, there is power; and who may say unto him, 'What doest thou?'"

This verse tells us that the words of a King are the final words, they carry authority and nobody can question them. Now, you may be thinking that this applies to the words of Jesus, as He is King, but let's look at another verse...

Psalm 103:20, "Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word."

This verse in Psalms tells us that the Angels - who are very strong and perform His commandments, follow the instructions of THE VOICE of His Word. That means any voice that has legal authority to act on behalf of the King and speaks (or uses) the words written in the Bible - which is the TRUTH.

In summary, when you are speaking the words written in the Bible about any situation and you have the spiritual, legal authority to use those words, then Angels will rush to do your bidding and uphold the word spoken because God's word cannot lie - it is TRUTH!

Generally, people doubt they have this much authority. The doubt comes from the fact that righteousness (right living before God) is required and knowledge of the Word must be used with FAITH to believe the mission is accomplished. Many think they are not worthy to wield this much power.

Walking with Jesus daily provides this covering of righteousness, builds your faith and empowers you to speak God's Word for the outcome, with authority, in any situation.
